IMIS Aero Conference this Wednesday!
IMIS Aero Conference this Wednesday!
I wanted to remind everyone that TotalSim is again hosting the Motorsports Aerodynamics conference at the Indianapolis Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS) this coming Wednesday December 7.

We have 9 speakers and a panel discussion lined up, and areplanning another great day for learning, idea exchange, and networking.
After the Keynote by Derek Daly on "Why Motorsports?", the Aero session morning will focus on practical reasons and methods for testing and obtaining Aero data at wind tunnels and tracks. After a catered lunch, we'll here about the current state-of-the-art in the design and simulation side of Motorsports Aerodynamics featuring a couple presentations on the Ohio State University Buckeye Bullet hybrid and electric Landspeed cars. During both the morning and afternoon sessions we plan time for a Q&A with the session's speakers, as well as ending the day with a panel discussion with some of the presenters and others discussion motorsports, aero, and what ever the audience would like to ask of the experts.
The day will be capped off by the IMIS opening reception at Lucas Oil Stadium.
On a parallel track on Wednesday and Thursday, is the Safety in Motorsports conference. Kirk Russell has again assembled a great panel of speakers again this year. Also on Wednesday there is a Chassis Session hosted by Paul Haney and then on Thursday Michael Royce is again hosting a Session on Powertrains in Motorsports.
The conference is closing Thursday with what looks to be a great panel discussion moderated by Gordon Kirby on the subject "Where is Motorsports Going?"
You can register for 1 or 2 days and are free to move between any of the sessions in either track. A listing of the program is available for Wednesday's Conference here and Thursday's here.
For more information on all the conferences and events going on during IMIS go to the IMIS-Indy website. You can also register onsite the day of the conference.
TotalSim will also be on IMIS Trade Show floor Dec 8-10 in Booth #228... Stop by and see us!
Hope to see you on Wednesday!
