The Automotive app is a web interface for submitting computational fluid dynamic (CFD) jobs to the Ohio Super Computer Cluster. Users of the app will be able to upload geometry, configure and run their CFD simulation, and download the results of their simulation. The simulations performed by the app can help correlate the performance of the vehicle under similar wind tunnel testing. The app makes CFD simulation simple for users by automatically meshing their geometry. It also provides a suite of post-processing results that can then be compared for insight of trends and performance.

Users simply have to upload their geometry as already-defined components such wheel, wing, and body. The . All simulation and results management is handled by the app and presented to the user in a intuitive interface

Handles Wide Variety of Geometries

The mesh and simulation scales to the size of different motor vehicles and configurations. Vehicles ranging from small FSAE racecars to sports cars have been used with the app. Large complex designs are handled robustly by the super-computing system.

Intuitive Interface

Users are able to visualize and adjust their uploaded geometry using the web interface. The status of jobs on the supercomputer cluster are visually represented. Simulation parameters can be easily set in a form for submission.
